|
The Sanctuary Golf Club
on Sanibel Island Receives the Coveted Platinum Club of America AwardSanibel Island, Florida:
Recently, The Sanctuary Golf Club on Sanibel Island, Florida, was awarded the
prestigious Platinum Club of America award from John Sibbald, Publisher of the
Club Leaders Forum and President of the Platinum Clubs of America. The Platinum Clubs of
America are the 235 most highly regarded private clubs in the United States as
voted by the Club Managers and Board Presidents from more than 6,000 private
clubs across the country. Every three years, the Platinum Clubs of America
surveys every club belonging to the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA)
and asks them to complete two nominating forms: one from the Club Manager and

Dolphins!
|
The
best
show on the island last night was FREE!! It was on the beach about
sunset and 5 dolphins decided to entertain the masses on the beach.
They were out their playing together. People stopped in their tracks to
watch. Kids, fisherman, old and young it was such a sight to see 5
dolphins playing together as they glided down along the water. This is
why people come to Sanibel. You never know what you are going to see.
If
you don't see dolphins frolicking on their own in front of your beach,
there are many businesses that will take you out for guided tours that
guarantee you will see dolphins.

'Ding' Darling Days - October 18th to the 24th
|
The
'Ding' Darling Days birding and eco-festival will celebrate it 20th
annual event. The kickoff will be on October 18th with the Family Fun
Day. There will be activities and displays throughout the week. Click here for more........

BaileyFest on October 25th
|
|
The 24th annual BaileyFest will be held on October 25th located at
Bailey's Shopping Center from
1pm-5pm. BaileyFest is a time for eating yummy food
and joining in the festivities from games, to music, to all sorts of
activities. BaileyFest is always a good time for family and kids.
There will be local performers from The Schoolhouse Theater, BIG ARTS, and the Sanibel School.
The
event will include food, and beverages, wagon rides, bounce house,
miniature golf and lots more. Event proceeds will benefit Sanibel &
Captiva non-profit organizations.
