Book of the Month

“Hypnotic!” “A page-turner!” That’s what critics are saying about The Strange, Ron Base’s thrilling new fantasy-adventure. Orphaned and penniless in the Paris of 1899, 14-year-old Ned Arnheim is taken in by a mysterious international confidence woman named Mrs. Cheveley who is out to sell the Eiffel Tower. Ned finds himself plunged into a series of adventures filled with magic and mystery, chases through rat-infested sewers, attacks by winged creatures out of a boy’s worst nightmares, all set against the world’s most enchanting city.
