Octifest Season for Sanibel Sea School Begins
Sanibel
Sea School will hold eight island-wide weekly scavenger hunts to mark
the season of Octifest, Sanibel Sea School’s first celebration of
mission. It was inspired by a game from this past summer’s Sanibel

Local Finds Cure for cancer?
John
Kanzius was diagnosed with leukemia in 2002. As he went through those
initial rounds of chemotherapy, he told himself there had to be a
better way. It looks like John Kanzius was right. The part-time Sanibel
resident dreamed up the radio wave therapy four-plus years ago, sick
from chemotherapy himself and saddened by a glimpse of children
receiving the drugs at the hospital where he underwent treatment. Now,

28th Annual Taste of the Islands
CROW's
28th Annual Taste of the Islands A family fun day of great food from
the Islands' most popular restaurants with music and entertainment, all
for a great cause, our wildlife neighbors in distres. Sunday April 13th
from Noon to 6pm. This year's event will be held at the Periwinkle Park
next to the Sanibel Community Association.

Fabulous Music the Month of March on Sanibel
The
mission statement of the Sanibel Music Festival is to present classical
music of the highest standard and to promote the careers of emerging
artists through performance opportunities at affordable prices. The
Festival has presented such wonderful artists as: The Emerson String
Quartet, Olga Kern, Opera Theater of Connecticut, Wu Han, David
Finckel, The Julliard String Quartet, Orion Weiss, Joyce Yang, Jon
Nakamatsu, Ruth Laredo, the American String Quartet, and the Prazak
Quartet. The Festival presents seven concerts each "Save March for
